As discussed in a previous article about audio conferencing there are many features that are available from the conference providers however you may not need all the latest and greatest extras that may offered. The only way to be sure you do not need these things is to first evaluate how audio conferencing will benefit your business. Will you save more time? Will you have greater employee satisfaction? What about the customers? When you determine what is necessary for your business than you can properly evaluate all the things you need to make your audio conference to go smoothly as well as portray the correct image that you want.

I would advise you really look into your business first as this would save you the heartache of taking on conferencing features just for the sake of having it. At the bare minimum know how you may improve your bottom line. Now that you have idea of how conferencing will impact the company than you can look at more features. Wouldn’t it be nice to know what some of these features mean? For example, what about the feature called instant replay plus? With this feature (note it may have different names so just pay attention to what it generally will do) one could instant replay something important that someone may have said. You can also point out problems with ideas. Depending on how the participants cope with this will determine the effectiveness. This feature is very helpful but also may hinder people from actually speaking up about important things during the conferencing call. Participants may fear being “instant replayed” especially if the moderator really makes a fool of them. As you can see, this feature needs to be carefully implemented as abuse could easily be the action of the day.

A good point of letting participants know that instant replay is being used they would come fully prepared on the conferencing call. This would make people be much more efficient and the structure of the audio conference would be much more productive. The participants would know that if they blurt just anything out without any thought would then be replayed. This feature of audio conferencing can be powerful so carefully consider implementing it on your next conference call.
