Did You See The Red Moon?
By Authority on Feb 21, 2008 in Astrology
The last lunar eclipse occurred last night around 10pm Eastern North American time February 20th 2008…well until it happens again in 2010. Wikipedia defines a lunar eclipse as
A lunar eclipse occurs whenever the moon passes through some portion of the Earth’s shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned exactly, or very closely so, with the Earth in the middle. Hence, the Moon is always full the night of a lunar eclipse. The type and length of an eclipse depend upon the Moon’s location relative to its orbital nodes.
If the skies were clear where you are then you may have been able to see Saturn’s rings and the bright star Regulus which is the brightest star in the constellation Leo and one of the brightest stars in the nighttime sky. For those of you who weren’t lucky or just didn’t know I’ll post a video that was taken on March 3rd 2007..hopefully it will have you feel like you were there đŸ˜‰ Just make sure you remember to look to the moon in 2010.
