What is Blu Ray and HD DVD?

I admit I’m into the latest and greatest. My parents (my father specifically) although of modest means purchased if possible the coolest gadgets and thus began my addiction to all new technology. The credit companies insidious plan to put us all in debt by allowing us to buy things with installation plans, prey upon the weakness among people like myself!

I usually don’t care too much who wins or loses because I play both sides 🙂 I have both products. Why limit yourself to one when you can have both….or more like it all! Haha..ok, this post is for the normal people who bought something thinking that their choice is the right one, but to be honest anyone who cares about these things is just like me and doesn’t really care about who wins. Everyone is making a big deal about this but it truly has no effect among the “high tech” consumer. Did you go rushing to buy a Blu Ray or HD DVD player?

Maybe you did what I did and purchased a Playstation 3 and an Xbox 360 with the HD drive! I wasn’t going to dump my Xbox just because the HD player won’t be useful. If Blu Ray lost…I wasn’t going to throw my Playstation away. The companies think this is a big deal….but in the end it’s not like it was the ushering of spanking new technology like when the DVD came in to replace the VHS tape! Even today there are still videos for sale, so even that is not dead. Blu Ray versus HD DVD is for the tech savvy and doesn’t effect most normal people like our grandmothers. So for those of you who think it’s that important…uh, get over it!
