Hey everyone…it’s been a while since my last post mainly because the host I was previously using pretty much held my data hostage! I can’t blame them fully as I didn’t do my due diligence and backup my data. I thought copying my files was good enough! That’s until I learned that merely copying my folders wasn’t correct. I was told I had to back up my data through my php admin area….hoho, if that sounds like another language to you, then join the club! I consider myself pretty tech savvy but all the information I could find on the net were incomplete or just complex to understand. I kinda understand what to do but that didn’t help me with all the data I’ve lost.

If there is anyone who has linked to me and can’t find their comments please let me know and we’ll work something out while I try to salvage which articles I do have on file 🙁 Also I’ll be documenting here my progress on learning how to backup my data so that the next person who needs this information will have a shall I say less complex explanation! If possible I’ll do screen capture pics and video if that will help.

My previous host was no help to me and pretty much just dropped me off the planet! I won’t mention their company as that’s not my style to publicly denounce anyone, but forget about promoting or recommending them and if you ever meet me in person I won’t hesitate to hint to you about who they are. Okay, that’s enough for now, as I’ve got quite a headache just thinking about this….
